Many times the square footage listed at the assessor's office may be incorrect due to the volume of houses they have to assess. Differences in living area measurements may occur because of older records, changes in floor plans during initial construction, additions, or rooms over the garage that were finished after construction. Make sure you are pricing your home properly by having an accurate measurement of your listing.
