Have you ever listed or appraised a home in Hillcrest Estates off Kootenai Street in Boise?

Confused if it’s a townhouse or condo?

I could not figure out why half the agents listed the homes a condo’s, and the other half listed them as townhomes.

The correct design is “Townhouse”….and it pains me to say it. I realize what all the confusion was caused from , they look like condo’s, they are built like condo’s, they have legal descriptions like condo’s…except they own the ground beneath them.

However UNIT D is built over two carports…how can they own the ground? They do…and give an easement to the other units to access the carports and storage area.

Took 20 minute phone call with Ada County and on page 3 of the plat…it explains how UNIT D gives the easement.

Anyone know why  the builder made them Townhomes in early 1970's?
